What is Forskolin Plus+?

Forskolin is the active ingredient found in the roots of the plant Coleus forskohlii. NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ also includes chromium, a trace mineral required for normal body function. NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ is included in our weight management category of products.

What is Forskolin Plus+ used for?

Some studies show that forskolin may be beneficial for healthy weight management because it is believed to stimulate specific cells that regulate metabolism. NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ also includes chromium, which may provide additional support for those on a reduced calorie diet.*

How does Forskolin Plus+ work?

Research shows that forskolin stimulates the production of cAMP cells (cyclic adenosine monophosphate cells), which play a role in many biochemical processes, including the regulation of sugar and fat metabolism.* NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ contains forskolin standardized to 20% — the maximum recommended potency.

Chromium is a trace mineral required for normal body functions. Chromium helps the body move blood sugar from the bloodstream into cells to be used as energy.* Blood sugar levels play an important factor in hunger and craving cycles. NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ includes chromium, which may help support blood sugar levels within a normal range.* The chromium in our formula is chromium picolinate, a compound of chromium and picolinic acid (a naturally occurring derivative of tryptophan).

What else do I need to know about NatureWise Forskolin Plus+?

Forskolin Plus+ is manufactured in the USA using non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free ingredients. Each serving contains 250 mg of pure forskolin, standardized to 20%, and 200 mcg (micrograms) of chromium. Other ingredients include vegetable cellulose (capsule) and organic rice bran extract.

NatureWise Forskolin Plus+ does not have yeast, wheat, gluten, dairy, corn, soy, eggs, sugar, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, or hydrogenated oils.

Why is rice bran extract used in the formula?

At NatureWise we strive to produce the highest quality products on the market. The use of rice bran extract in our formula helps keep the highly concentrated extract from clumping together inside the capsule, reducing the “chalky” effect that you may experience with other products. Our rice bran extract is certified organic, gluten-free, has nutritious tocotrienol (a form of vitamin E), and is easy to digest.

There is a lot of misinformation about nutritional supplements -- so much so that many manufacturers do not list all ingredients in their labeling. We’re proud of the ingredients we use, and our products are formulated to consistently deliver the highest quality, purity, and potency.
